Unforgettable Trekking Experience in Nepal with Bibek and Shankar
My friend and I booked a private 5-day trek to Ghorepani/Poon Hill with Bibek as our guide and Shankar as our porter for our first visit to Nepal. It was an absolutely INCREDIBLE, life-changing experience and I cannot wait to go back to Nepal and trek again with the Nepalorama team. I would say we not only had a wonderful vacation and got to discover all the beauty of Nepal and its people, but we also made a genuine connection with Bibek and Shankar. We enjoyed our time with them so much, and everything they taught us about the Himalayan region, about their culture and language, Nepali food (dal bhat !! ), how to do things “Nepali style” and lots of wisdoms for life. They were incredible guides through the mountains, but also through the whole first experience of getting to know Nepal.
On a practical note, Nepalorama was extremely professional in the organization and booking of our itinerary, as well as so helpful when we ran into some weather issues which cancelled 2 of our flights to Pokhara. Bibek and Krishna made sure to take care of everything so that we didn’t have any stress on our holiday — we made it to Pokhara by car and had a great trek, even though we had to push things back by one day due to heavy rains. It was no problem and we were so glad they were there to help us still have the best holidays, rain or shine!
Everyone at Nepalorama is so kind and helpful and they really want to share a great experience of Nepal with anyone who goes on their treks. They made sure we were happy and comfortable the whole time, and they chose really great hotels and teahouses where the people were always friendly and welcoming. They even invited us to a fun evening after the celebration dinner to watch some traditional Nepali dancing and hear Nepali music, which was amazing! We had such a fun time exchanging about our cultures, sharing our favorite music, dances, foods, and life perspectives. Thank you SO MUCH to Anna, Krishna, Bibek and Shankar for one of the best trips of my life <3 you guys are simply awesome.
