Age is Just a Number: Overcoming ABC Trek Challenges Together

At the time of initiating idea to do ABC, Anna of Nepalorama helped me a lot in developing the trekking plan through email correspondences. I needed to do a lot of homework for this trip as the average age of my group (of 6 people) is about 60 (with the youngest of 39 and the oldest of 66). Doing ABC trekking within 8 days may be easy for many people but surely not for my group due to the age. During the trek, we could not meet the speed expected by other trekkers. We missed the lodge for one night in lower Sinuwa and need to stay in Chomrong instead. So, we need to add more distance in the next day, resulting in total 13.5-hour climbing up 1,000 meters from Chomrong to Deurali. Our guide, Buddhi, helped us a lot to circumvent that difficulty although we need to climb up from Himalaya to Deurali in the dark night time from 6-8 pm. We can achieve this challenge because of his hands given to and his steps beside our oldest folk. Our journey was actually filled with great adventure, great experience and a lot of fond memories because of this Company and its team.
