Trek to Ghorepani Poon Hill!
When you spend one week in Nepal, it’s a great opportunity to do a short trek! The incredible mountain views are just one of the rewards on offer when you trek to Ghorepani Poon Hill. Get a taste of the ‘real’ Nepal as we slowly ascend through picturesque lowlands. See emerald green rice fields, lush forests rich with flora and fauna, and villages where the smiles of the Nepali people are infectious! If you’re trekking in March or early April, you’ll see bright, colourful forests of Rhododendrons native to Nepal.
We hike up to Poon Hill from Ghorepani just in time for sunrise. The spectacular view boasts some of the highest mountains in the world! Including the seventh – Dhaulagiri (8,167m/26,795ft) and the tenth – Annapurna I (8,091m/26,545ft).
On the way back, rest your weary legs in the natural hot springs at Jhinu Danda situated on the river bank, surrounded by lush forest. It’s magic!
